Preventative Procedures
•Examinations & Cleanings: Regular oral screenings, examinations, and preventative oral hygiene care are imperative to dental health. Our hygienist will work with you to maintain a healthy smile.
•Radiographs (X-rays): Periodic radiographs allow us to track dental development in children and adults, identify dental or bone issues, and monitor dental treatments. We use digital radiography in most cases—this allows us to get detailed digital images quickly, limit your exposure to x-ray waves, and transfer digital images to and from other offices efficiently for referral purposes.
•Sealants: In both children and adults, sealants can help protect teeth from future decay. Sealing teeth does not require anesthetic (numbing) medications or the removal of any tooth structure—allowing us to help prevent the cost of future cavities and fillings without any pain.
•Fluoride Treatment: Fluoride treatment maintains gum health and can help protect against tooth sensitivity, cavities, tooth decay, and bad breath caused by bacteria. We offer fluoride treatment for both children and adults.
•Periodontal (Gum) Therapy: Bacterial infections can cause periodontal diseases which attack your gum tissue and can cause bone loss. In cases of periodontal disease, we will work with you to treat these infections while keeping you as comfortable as possible. We can scale away tartar and bacterial deposits on yourteeth, smooth your roots to promote healthy gum growth by root planning, or even administer site-specific antibiotics when necessary.
Restorative Procedures
•Basic Restorative (Filling) Treatment: When a tooth has been damaged by minor trauma or cavities, we can restore the tooth surface. We use composite resin material in filling preparation which is cured completely during your visit—this means that you can eat, drink, brush, floss, and rinse as usual immediately after the procedure. The composite resin material reduces the amount of tooth structure removed and offers fluoride treatment all in a natural-looking, color-matched material.
•Endodontic (Root Canal) Therapy: Inside the root of a tooth there are nerves, blood vessels, and pulp tissue. When the nerves or pulp become damaged by trauma, deep decay, infection, or other factors, the tissue becomes necrotic (dead) and painful. We perform endodontic therapy to precisely remove this necrotic tissue and get you feeling better as quickly as possible.
Prosthodontic Procedures
•Crowns: When the base structure of the tooth needs to be replaced, we offer prosthodontic (crown) services. We have the opportunity to complete these cases in a single visit by using CEREC technology. These precisely-designed, colored- matched, ceramic restorations are created in our office using digital impressions and Computer Aided Design (CAD)—allowing us to give you a natural looking smile without requiring a temporary crown or subsequent visit.
•Bridge Implants: Fixed bridge implants are a reliable and esthetically-pleasing option to replace missing teeth. We will work to make sure your bridge fits comfortably with your natural bite and smile, as well as to ensure a color-matching that will make you want to show off your newly restored smile.
•Dentures: We will work with you to create a color- and shape-matched complete or partial denture to help keep your smile looking great for years. We use radiographs and impressions to generate an accurate and detailed model of your dental and surrounding bone structure to make sure your dentures fit comfortably.
Cosmetic Procedures
•Veneers: Veneers are thin, custom-made pieces of ceramic material which are bonded to your existing teeth to repair minor damages or correct imperfections. We will work with you to carefully select a color and shape for your veneers so that you will have a beautiful and natural-looking smile again.
•Cosmetic Whitening: While we do offer active (“in-office”) cosmetic whitening, we recommend supplementing this procedure with continued passive (“at-home”) whitening. We will construct whitening trays formed to a cast model of your teeth and provide you with whitening material and instruction. This combination offers you dramatic whitening results while minimizing tooth sensitivity.
